Congratulations to
THE JONESMEN QUARTET
Celebrating
Over 33 years of Southern Gospel
Music!
Who would have thought that over
33 years ago through the culmination of a church choir
quartet would begin the start of The Jonesmen Quartet?
The group began with a simple request to sing for a
camp meeting in the winter of February 1979.
The name "Jones"men came from the church they all
attended
- Jones Memorial United Methodist Church in
Morrow, GA.
Two of
the original members, Walter Sheppard and
Steve White, still members of Jones Memorial UMC;
Chad Sheppard, also a member of Jones Memorial
UMC; who recently replaced Larry Alberts after
he announced his retirement in February 2012.
And finally, Paul Willis, a licensed
Baptist Minister who is currently serving as Minister
of Music at Friendship Baptist Church in Atlanta.
The Jonesmen Quartet are known
widely throughout the southeast for their
continued devotion and presentation of the gospel
through Southern Gospel Music.
Now in their 33rd year, Walter Sheppard, Chad
Sheppard, Steve White and Paul Willis
are still going strong, singing for the Lord and
sharing their testimonies of how Jesus has blessed
them through the years and of the saving grace of
our Lord Jesus Christ. And as they say, the
rest is history.

Prayers
and
Get Well
Wishes
for Paul
Paul
Willis, tenor for The Jonesmen Quartet, had major
surgery on his foot and ankle. He has 16
screws and rods to stablize his foot. His
rehabilitation could take up to 3 months and we
ask that you pray that no infection enters the
body during the healing process.
If you would like to
send him words of encouragement - cards may be
mailed to Rev. Paul Willis, 5683 Cypress Drive,
Forest Park, GA 30297. We thank you
for your prayers during this time.

Meet
Chad Sheppard
With the recent announcement of Larry Alberts
retirement as baritone for the Jonesmen, the Quartet is pleased to
announce that Chad Sheppard will be joining the Jonesmen Quartet as their new
barritone singer - Interesting note - Chad was born literally into the
quartet and has traveled with the quartet since his late teen years til now as sound technician
and has often stepped in when one of the quartet members wasn't available to
sing.
Chad formerly traveled and sang with the Emmaus
Road Quartet out of Dalton, GA. Chad wrote and released his first Southern
Gospel song titled "God of the Living". He also attended CSB School of
Broadcasting. Chad is from Stockbridge and is a member of Jones Memorial
UMC in Morrow and a member of the chancel choir. In his spare time, he enjoys
refereeing for wrestling matches.
We welcome Chad Sheppard as the newest and youngest member of TheJonesmen Quartet.
